15 days for experience Mexican life as a local traveling through up to 8 communities along the Oaxaca coast & protecting turtles, marine fauna, deers, jungle wildlife, educating children, and more!

Be part of a traditional coastal community surrounded by horses living in freedom. Support with respectful environmental activities and connect with horses and nature.
MONITORING WHALES
Learn about whale populations during their Oaxaca coast migration, collaborating with biologists and locals. Dolphins, turtles and snorkeling above corals, will be part of your life with us!
Volunteer with communities for sea turtle and wildlife conservation
We are committed to support and work with community groups dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles and other species, such as crocodiles and other ecosystems. By joining our volunteer program, you will be directly contributing to these conservation efforts and learning about the practices and techniques used by these communities.
By joining us, you will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of Oaxaca while learning about natural living and supporting important conservation efforts. We would like to introduce you to our local partners, who are committed to protecting the unique and biodiverse ecosystems of Oaxaca.
Servicios de La Ventanilla
Dedicated to the conservation of one of the best preserved mangroves on the coast of Oaxaca, this community group has earned the certificate of Indigenous Paradise.
ADVC El Gavilán en Cozoaltepec
This group donated the El Gavilán rainforest to conservation and for the past 7 years they have been studying and monitoring the rainforest to ensure that it does not suffer threats and that it preserves its incredible wonders.
Centro Ecoturístico Escobilla
Community group has been dedicated for more than 20 years to the conservation of the world’s most important olive ridley nesting sanctuary.
Ecoturismo Manialtepec
Being the pioneers in ecotourism in Manialtepec, they show the beauties of their town, protecting nature and giving a special experience to visitors riding horses, which live in freedom, during the sunset on the beach.
Flor del Pacífico
Restarting this incredible ecotourism project, Flor del Pacífico is confronting the poaching of sea turtle nests, protecting the females during their nightly tours with visitors in complete safety.
Sicea AC & Azul profundo
A group of young biologists, Sicea AC, joined to Azul profundo, a Oaxacan ecotouristic cooperative to monitor the population of the whales in the coast.
Travelling in Oaxaca with not enough time to volunteer
If you are travelling in Mexico and you don’t have enough time to participate in long experiences more than a few days, but you would like to spend a bit of your time supporting local groups. Have a unique experience protecting turtles and wildlife! There are a few options for you:
Depending on the situation, you will be able to join to one group already gathered for the days that you are free in the program or make one itinerary for you to get involved in the conservation activities that you choose.
If you prefer to go on your own, but you would like to support the conservation activities, you can visit the local groups. Join them to their amazing tours and experiences in nature as part of their ecotourism services.
